Q. A 72- year-old man comes to the ER due to difficulty initiating urinary flow, leaking of urine all the time, and dyspnea upon exertion. On clinical examination, there is conjunctival pallor and there is an asymmetric enlargement of the prostate on rectal examination. PSA levels are ordered and a prostate transrectal biopsy is conducted. PSA (7 ng/ml) and the biopsy shows prostatic adenocarcinoma. PET-CT shows bony metastasis to vertebral bone marrow. Blood tests show that there is pancytopenia. On a blood smear, there are nucleated RBCs and immature WBCs. Vertebral bone marrow biopsy reveals infiltrating adenocarcinoma cells and normal marrow hypocellularity. What is the name of this condition?
