Etiology
E-Coli is the causative agent in majority of cases
Symptoms
Dysuria
Frequency
Urgency
Suprapubic pain
Hematuria
Diagnosis
Urine dipstick/analysis is the best initial test
Urine culture is most accurate
Treatment
Uncomplicated UTI: TMP-SMX, fluroquinolone for 3 days, or nitrofurantoin for 5 days
Complicated UTI: Same as above for 7 days
