Insular Stroke

The patient presents with left side patchy sensory loss.
Insular strokes are rare and can present with a number of different symptoms/signs, including somatosensory deficits, aphasia, dysarthria, vestibular, and motor deficits.
Although discrete insular localization is imprecise, aposterior insular strokes more commonly present with somatosensory deficits (as one might expect), whereas, less consistently, anterior insular strokes present with motor deficits.
