Cremesteric Reflex

The cremasteric reflex is triggered when the upper medial thigh is stroked, which causes the cremasteric muscle to contract and raise the testicle.
This reflex is tested as part of the evaluation for testicular torsion, which is associated with a loss of the reflex.
The reflex arc involves he genitofemoral nerve: the efferent limb is the genital branch, the afferent limb is the femoral branch + ilioinguinal nerve.
Note that in females, the counterpart is the Giegel reflex, which triggers contraction of muscle fibers along the inguinal ligament (so it is sometimes called the inguinal reflex).
