Dupuytren's Contracture

Dupuytren's contracture refers to nodule and cord formation in the distal palm with resultant flexion contractures of, most commonly, the 4th and 5th digits.
On exam, early on, nodules and pitting are present, followed by cord formation, and ultimately flexion contractures.
Key involved anatomical structures are the pretendinous (central) cords and the transverse carpal (natatory) ligament.
